equality & diversity legislation
As a recognised piece of equality and diversity legislation, The Equality Act 2010 has been long awaited, and has been designed to strengthen, harmonise and streamline anti-discriminatory legislation into one overarching policy. The Equality Act also ensures that all protected characteristics have the same level of protection, and through this equality and diversity legislation, it aims to make living and working in Britain fairer for everyone. The Equality Act is not designed to catch companies out, neither is it there to be ignored.
