Children’s Agency Makes Community Impact
Leading children’s services agency, Core Assets received national recognition at the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI) awards last week (12/7/2012), scooping a top prize in the Community Impact category.
Core Assets was awarded highly commended for its innovative ‘Fostering with Pride’ campaign, developed to recruit foster carers from lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) communities. By implementing a focussed marketing strategy targeting this minority group, the number of LGB foster carers working with Core Assets has subsequently increased by 53%, benefitting Core Assets, LGB communities and the vulnerable children and young people LGB foster carers look after.
Held in London, the ENEI event saw top names and big brands compete for highly regarded recognition from the national employers network. Equality and diversity coordinator, Stuart Bray represented the agency at the ceremony.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved highly commended for the ENEI Community Impact award,” explained Stuart Bray.
“This level of recognition underpins our commitment to support the LGB community and demonstrates the value we place on promoting equality and diversity across the organisation.”
In addition to Core Assets achieving highly commended for Community Impact the agency was also shortlisted for four other awards including; the Employee Engagement award, Team of the Year, Employee Network Group of the Year and Equality& Inclusion Champion of the Year.
